Sip and sample your way around the world at the Seaworld Seven Seas Food Festival, running February through to mid-April. Discover unique Asian, Latin, European, Polynesian and North Atlantic dishes throughout the park and a wide array of wine, specialty cocktails, and local and international craft brews. There will be some fantastic concerts, so watch this space for updates. You can purchase special tickets, including ‘Seven Seas Food & Brew 8 or 15 Item Sampling Lanyard’ and reservation tickets for each concert.
There’s always something amazing happening at Walt Disney World, so we like to keep you up to date with any new events. If you’re planning on a Florida family vacation in April, you’ll be able to join the 20th anniversary celebrations of Animal Kingdom! Set off on a ‘behind the scenes’ journey of the theme park, followed by a VIP viewing of ‘Rivers of Light’, the park’s newest night-time show. Go backstage and learn about the animal care program at their state-of-the-art veterinary hospital. Take the memorable, one hour ‘Caring for Giants’ elephant tour and play conservationist on a bird watching experience. Please check in 30 minutes prior to start of experience at the Curiosity Animal Tours kiosk, located across from the Kilimanjaro Safaris entrance.
During this massive, six-day event, catch daily and evening air shows that include adrenaline pumping aerobatics. You can see light aircraft overhead and later, have the opportunity to mingle with the pilots. There is a new young pilot campground, a veteran’s area, aerospace related exhibits and educational forums. You can take your own coolers and foldaway chairs. If you’re travelling from one of our vacation rentals in the Kissimmee area, your journey will be approximately one hour. Proceeds from all the events go to fund aviation scholarships and education programs.
Drawing crowds of up to 25,000 music enthusiasts, this year’s Florida Music Festival is set to be major! With every music genre from rock to hip-hop covered, there will be fifteen stages and over 150 bands! With a history of discovering unknown artists, such as Taylor Swift, who performed her first industry showcase here, you can watch the showcases this year for free! Each night from 6pm-2am Downtown Otown lights up with more than 50 artists, rocking everything from Country to Pop.
Show your support for the earth this year, at Central Florida’s Earth Day celebrations. Taking place at the beautiful Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando, enjoy educational exhibits and activities. It’s family and pet friendly, so you can bring along the whole gang! There will be food prep demonstrations, an Earth kids zone, free yoga and meditation and lots of music. Be inspired to live a healthier life and enjoy some outdoors fun at the same time!
Get your sequins on and head to Orlando to enjoy some flamboyant performances at Mardi Gras. With New Orlean sounds and Cajun street food, boogie down in Florida’s biggest party of the year. Plus, on selected nights, you can catch some of the biggest names in music performing. Gather the family to watch street performers, stilt walkers, colorful dancers and phenomenal floats parade through the streets of Universal Studios Florida. The festival opened on February 3rd and runs through to April 7th.
