ICON Park Orlando: A Guide to the Attractions on International Drive
Florida Premier Rentals · June 3, 2026
ICON Park is an open-air entertainment complex on International Drive, and it is one of the easiest non-theme-park outings in Orlando. There is no gate and no single admission — you pay for the individual attractions you want, wander the rest, and eat at one of the many restaurants. That flexibility makes it a good fit for an evening or a half-day, especially with mixed-age groups.
The main attractions
- The observation wheel — a giant slow-moving wheel with climate-controlled cabins and long views across the tourist district, best at sunset.
- An aquarium with interactive exhibits that younger kids love.
- A wax museum with photo-ready celebrity figures.
- Thrill rides, including tall drop and swing-style rides for the teens and adrenaline seekers.
Dining and atmosphere
ICON Park has a large lineup of restaurants and bars, from quick bites to full sit-down spots, plus street performers and a lively evening atmosphere. You can easily combine dinner with one or two attractions and call it a night.
Where it is and how to plan
ICON Park is in the heart of the International Drive area, roughly 20 to 30 minutes from the Kissimmee and ChampionsGate resort communities. A few tips:
- Buy attraction combos if you plan to do more than one — it is cheaper than paying individually.
- Evenings are the sweet spot for the wheel and the atmosphere.
- Parking is available on-site; go a little early on weekends.
It is a relaxed, build-your-own outing — do as much or as little as you like, then head back to the house. See our Orlando vacation homes close to International Drive and the parks.
