Valentine’s and Beyond
Valentine’s and Beyond
If you’re currently enjoying a vacation in Orlando, make a Valentines date to visit the Outdoor Movie Night at Southern Hills Farm in Clermont. It’s a great place to watch a sunset together on the roof terrace with an icy beer or glass of bubbly. Gates open at 5.30pm so you can browse the Market and try your hand at some of the fun yard games before settling down with popcorn and chocolate for this week’s outdoor movie Dirty Dancing on Friday 12th Feb. You need to book tickets in advance and bring your own beach chair or rug.
The farm hosts many special events so it’s worth checking their events calendar whenever you plan to visit Orlando. Looking ahead, Spring Break Outdoor Movie Night is on March 12th and features The Secret Life of Pets 2.
A recommended must-do for couples on Valentine’s is the Love Notes Wine and Music Social on Saturday Feb 13th from noon to 10pm. It will be hosted by the Swirlery Wine Bar and Tasting Room on E. Michigan St, downtown Orlando.
Frontyard Festival presents another special outdoor performance beneath the stars with Step Afrika! Tickets include seating in your own private pod on the lawn in front of the Dr Philips Center – how cosy is that!
On Valentine’s Day itself, the beautiful setting of Harry P. Leu Gardens offers Movie Night featuring When Harry Met Sally. Arrive early and bring your own lover’s picnic, drinks and chairs and make it a night to remember. Tickets are just $6.
