Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Resort

Volcano Bay is Universal Orlando Resort's water theme park, built around a towering fictional volcano called Krakatau. Lush landscaping, sandy beaches and a genuine sense of place set it apart from a typical slide park — the volcano itself erupts with water at key moments and anchors the view from almost every corner of the park.

Every guest carries a TapuTapu wearable that holds a rider's place in a virtual queue, unlocks lockers and triggers water effects around the park, so the day is built around relaxing in the sun rather than standing in a physical line.

Signature Slides & Rides

Ko'okiri Body PlungeA near-vertical, 70-degree drop through a clear tube that plunges straight through the volcano.
TeAwa the Fearless RiverA river run with pounding rapids and rolling waves, built for guests who want more than a float.
Honu ika MoanaTwin raft slides — one twisting and fast, the other a gentler ride the whole family can share.
Waturi BeachThe park's main wave pool, set right at the foot of Krakatau.

Family & Toddler Zones

Runamukka Reef & Tot Tiki ReefShallow pools, fountains and mini slides scaled for younger kids.
Kopiko Wai Winding RiverA slow lazy river loop through tropical scenery and a few surprise caves.

TapuTapu and Getting Around

Because TapuTapu holds a rider's spot in line, most of the day is spent in the water rather than on a queue rope — a return-time buzzes on the wristband when it's a slide's turn. Quick-service dining is scattered throughout the park, with island-inspired plates like pulled pork sandwiches and mango barbecue chicken alongside fresh fruit smoothies.
