ChampionsGate is a gated resort community in Davenport, Florida, just off I-4 about fifteen minutes from Walt Disney World, built around the Oasis Club — a 16,000 sq ft clubhouse with a lazy river, two pools and a two-storey waterslide. We manage 21 homes at ChampionsGate from 2 to 20 bedrooms, sleeping 6 to 62, every one with a private pool, booked direct with the family that looks after them.

The clubhouse one
Resort amenities plus a real high street
ChampionsGate is the most self-sufficient of the Disney-area communities. Two clubhouses — the Oasis Club and the Retreat — carry lazy rivers, movie theatres, tiki bars, spas and fitness suites between them, and immediately outside the gate is a plaza with a Publix, Starbucks, a steakhouse and half a dozen restaurants.
Add two Greg Norman championship courses and homes from four-bedroom fairway villas to fifteen-bedroom estates, and it becomes the easy answer for groups that don't want to drive for dinner.

Oasis Club and The Retreat: lazy rivers, cinema, spa, tiki bars.

What is on site at ChampionsGate
What is actually on site
ChampionsGate is the closest thing in our portfolio to a resort with a proper town centre. The Oasis Club is a 16,000-square-foot clubhouse rather than a pool cabin: a restaurant and bar, a movie theatre, a fitness centre, a games room and a concierge desk indoors, with two temperature-controlled pools, a lazy river, a two-storey waterslide and a Tiki Bar outside. The vacation homes sit in The Retreat, the neighbourhood zoned for short-term rental, and Retreat guests use the Oasis Club as part of the stay.
The other thing ChampionsGate has is range. Our homes here run from two bedrooms to twenty — a wider spread than anywhere else we manage — so the same resort suits a couple in a townhome and a wedding party in a mansion. If you are at the top of that range, this is where our 20 bedroom vacation homes are.
The Oasis Club

ChampionsGate questions we're asked most
What's the difference between the Oasis Club and The Retreat?
The Oasis Club serves the Country Club and Vista homes and has the lazy river, cinema and spa. The Retreat is newer, with its own water park and sports bar. Your home determines which one you use — every listing says so.
Is ChampionsGate too far from Disney?
It's eight miles, roughly thirteen minutes on I-4. Slightly further than Storey Lake, but you trade those few minutes for a Publix and six restaurants outside your gate.
Can non-golfers still enjoy it?
Easily. Both clubhouses are built around water and food rather than golf, and the courses are separately ticketed so you never pay for what you don't play.
Do the big villas have games rooms?
Almost all of the eight-bedroom-plus ChampionsGate homes have a converted garage games room — pool table, arcades, air hockey — and many have a home theatre too.
What is included with a ChampionsGate vacation home rental?
Guests staying in The Retreat at ChampionsGate use the Oasis Club as part of the stay: two heated pools, the lazy river, the two-storey waterslide, the children's water play structure, the fitness centre, the games room, the movie theatre and the Grille Room restaurant. Cabana rentals and golf are charged separately.
Does ChampionsGate have a lazy river?
Yes. The Oasis Club's outdoor area has a winding lazy river with bridges and waterfalls, alongside two temperature-controlled pools, a two-storey waterslide, a children's water play structure and a Tiki Bar with poolside food and drink service.
How far is ChampionsGate from Disney World?
Roughly nine miles, usually about fifteen minutes by car. ChampionsGate sits directly off I-4 on the western approach to the parks, which keeps the drive clear of the busiest stretch of US-192. Every home we manage has free parking.
Is there a supermarket at ChampionsGate?
Yes — a Publix sits at the entrance to the community, which makes it one of the shortest grocery runs of any resort we work in. Most guests stop there on the way in from the airport rather than making a separate trip.
Can you play golf at ChampionsGate?
ChampionsGate Country Club is within the community and there are seven tennis courts as well. Golf is booked directly with the club and green fees are not part of the rental, so treat it as a facility nearby rather than something included with the home.
What size homes are at ChampionsGate?
Our ChampionsGate homes span the widest range of any resort we manage, from two-bedroom townhomes up to twenty-bedroom estates. That makes the same resort workable for a couple and for a large family reunion, which is unusual — most communities cluster around one size band.
Is ChampionsGate good for large groups?
It is one of the two resorts we would suggest first for a big group, because the biggest homes here are genuinely large and the Oasis Club gives everyone somewhere to go that is not the house. The live figures on this page show exactly what sizes we have available now.
Is there a restaurant at ChampionsGate?
The Grille Room is inside the Oasis Club, and there is a Tiki Bar with food and drink service by the pool. Beyond the gates, the ChampionsGate junction has the usual cluster of chain restaurants and the Publix, all within a couple of minutes' drive.
Does ChampionsGate have a cinema and a games room?
Yes, both are inside the Oasis Club — a movie theatre and an air-conditioned games room, alongside the fitness centre and the concierge desk. They are part of the clubhouse rather than paid extras, which makes a rainy afternoon considerably easier.
Is ChampionsGate a gated community?
Yes. Access is through a gate, and your party's name goes on the gate list before you arrive — we arrange that when your booking is confirmed, so there is nothing for you to do beyond turning up.
