The waterside one
Lakeside, and closer to the parks than most
Storey Lake sits on the water just off Osceola Parkway, one of the shortest drives to Walt Disney World of any resort we work with. The clubhouse has a lazy river, a double water slide, a splash pad and a tiki bar, and the lake itself is open for kayaks and paddle boats.
Inventory ranges from three-bedroom townhomes with splash pools to nine-bedroom detached villas, which makes it the most flexible community for mid-sized families and couples travelling together on a sensible budget.
Why guests choose it
Shortest park run
Osceola Parkway takes you to the Disney toll plaza in under ten minutes.
On-water activities
Complimentary kayaks and paddle boats on the lake.
Townhome value
Three and four-bedroom townhomes with private splash pools.

What is on site at Storey Lake Resort
What is actually on site
Storey Lake is unusual in having two separate amenity centres rather than one. The Hideaway Club and the Bronson Club each have their own resort-style pool, their own lazy river, their own tiki bar and their own fitness centre, and a free van shuttle runs between them and the vacation homes. In practice that means two different pool days without leaving the resort, and it is worth asking which clubhouse your home sits nearest when you book.
The Hideaway Club carries the extras: the waterslides, the nine-hole mini golf course, and the splash pad with fountains, spray jets and a dumping bucket. Between the two there are also a games room, a movie theatre, two playgrounds and jogging trails. Our homes here run from two to eight bedrooms — a wide spread that takes in townhomes as well as larger pool homes, so both our 2 bedroom vacation homes and our 8 bedroom vacation homes pages are relevant.

Storey Lake questions we're asked most
Is Storey Lake really closer to Disney than Reunion?
Yes — around four miles versus six, and the Osceola Parkway route avoids I-4 entirely. In practice you'll be at the Disney toll plaza in eight to ten minutes.
What's the difference between the townhomes and the villas?
Townhomes are three to four bedrooms with a private splash pool in a screened courtyard. Villas are detached, five to nine bedrooms, with full-size pools and usually a games room.
Are the kayaks included?
Kayaks and paddle boats on the lake are complimentary for resort guests, weather permitting. Life jackets are provided at the dock.
Is there a resort fee?
No resort fee when you book direct with us. Clubhouse, lazy river and water slide access come with the home.
Does Storey Lake Resort have a lazy river?
Two of them — one at the Hideaway Club and one at the Bronson Club, because Storey Lake has two separate amenity centres rather than one. Each clubhouse also has its own resort-style pool, tiki bar and fitness centre, and a free shuttle runs between them.
Why does Storey Lake have two clubhouses?
The resort was built in phases and each has its own amenity centre. The Hideaway Club carries the waterslides, the nine-hole mini golf and the splash pad; the Bronson Club has its own pool and lazy river. A free van shuttle links both to the vacation homes.
How far is Storey Lake Resort from Disney World?
Roughly four miles, usually about ten minutes by car. Storey Lake sits on the eastern side of the Disney area near the Osceola Parkway, which also puts it closer to the airport than most of the resorts we work in — handy on arrival and departure days.
What is there for children at Storey Lake Resort?
Waterslides and a splash pad with fountains, spray jets and a dumping bucket at the Hideaway Clubhouse, a nine-hole mini golf course, two playgrounds, a games room and a movie theatre. Between two lazy rivers and two pools there is enough to fill days without a park ticket.
Is there a shuttle at Storey Lake Resort?
A free van shuttle runs between the two clubhouses and the vacation homes, which matters because the amenity centres are at opposite ends of the community. It is a resort service, so hours and frequency are set by the resort rather than by us.
Does Storey Lake Resort have mini golf?
Yes, a nine-hole course at the Hideaway Clubhouse. Some resorts charge a small fee for mini golf, so it is worth checking at the clubhouse desk when you arrive rather than assuming either way.
Is there somewhere to eat at Storey Lake Resort?
Each clubhouse has a tiki bar serving food and drinks, and there are outdoor grilling areas if you would rather cook. For a full shop the nearest Publix is about two miles away, roughly five minutes by car.
What size homes are at Storey Lake Resort?
Our Storey Lake homes span two to eight bedrooms, taking in townhomes at the smaller end and larger pool homes above them. That range makes it one of the more flexible resorts we work in — the live counts on this page show what is available right now.
Is Storey Lake Resort a gated community?
Yes. Your party's name goes on the gate list before you arrive, which we arrange when your booking is confirmed, so there is nothing for you to sort out at the gate on the day you land.
Are there gyms at Storey Lake Resort?
Yes — a fitness centre at each of the two clubhouses, both described by the resort as state of the art. There are also jogging trails through the community if you would rather run outside than on a treadmill.
