The easy-going one

The value choice that doesn't feel like one

Paradise Palms is smaller and more compact than the sprawling resorts, and that's the point: everything is a short walk. The clubhouse holds a heated pool with a slide, a tiki bar, a cinema room, an arcade, a fitness centre and tennis courts, all within a couple of minutes of every home.

Inventory is mostly four to six-bedroom townhomes and villas with private splash pools and games rooms — the sweet spot for one family or two couples who want resort amenities without a mansion budget.

Why guests choose it

  • Walk to everything

A compact resort — no golf-cart distances between home and pool.

  • Tiki bar and cinema room

Grown-up evenings on site once the kids are asleep.

  • The friendliest price band

Our best nightly rates for a fully-amenitied gated resort.

Inside the resort

What is on site at Paradise Palms Resort

What is actually on site

Paradise Palms is our value resort, and the honest framing is that it does the essentials well rather than competing on spectacle. There is no lazy river and no surf simulator. What there is: a large lagoon-style community pool with a waterfall and a covered grotto, two hot tubs, a water slide, a separate children's pool, and a licensed tiki bar and grill serving the pool deck.

Indoors the clubhouse carries a movie theatre that costs nothing to use, an arcade and games room, a gym, a sundry shop and a lounge. Outside there are tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. Homes are mostly townhomes and smaller pool homes, four to six bedrooms — our 4 bedroom vacation homes page covers the size most guests book here.

The trade-off is worth stating plainly: you get a shorter drive to Disney than most of our resorts and a lower nightly cost, in exchange for a smaller amenity set. For a family whose week is mostly park days, that is often the right trade.

Paradise Palms questions we're asked most

Why is Paradise Palms cheaper than the other resorts?

It's a smaller, older community with mostly townhomes rather than large detached villas, so nightly rates sit lower — while still giving you a gated resort, clubhouse, slide pool and tiki bar.

Do the townhomes have their own pool?

Most have a private screened splash pool in the rear courtyard, separate from the clubhouse pool. Every listing states whether the home has one and whether it can be heated.

Is it suitable for a large group?

Up to about fourteen in one home. Beyond that we'd point you to Reunion or ChampionsGate — or book two neighbouring Paradise Palms homes together.

How far is the walk to the clubhouse?

Two to five minutes from almost every home. It's the most compact resort we work with, which is a real advantage with small children.

What amenities does Paradise Palms Resort have?

A large lagoon-style community pool with a waterfall, covered grotto and water slide, two hot tubs, a separate children's pool and a licensed tiki bar and grill. Indoors there is a free movie theatre, an arcade and games room, a gym with a sauna, and a sundry shop. Tennis, basketball and volleyball courts sit outside.

Does Paradise Palms Resort have a lazy river?

No. Paradise Palms has a large lagoon-style pool with a waterfall, a grotto and a water slide, but no lazy river and no water park. If a lazy river is what your group wants, Storey Lake, ChampionsGate, Windsor Island and Windsor at Westside all have one.

Is Paradise Palms Resort good value?

It is the resort we suggest when budget matters most. The amenity set is smaller than Reunion or Encore, but the drive to Disney is shorter than most and the nightly cost is lower. For a family spending most of the week in the parks, that trade usually works out well.

How far is Paradise Palms Resort from Disney World?

Roughly five miles, usually about ten minutes by car — the resort describes itself as just minutes from Disney. It also publishes seventeen miles to Universal Orlando, which is around half an hour depending on I-4 traffic.

Is the movie theatre at Paradise Palms free?

Yes — the resort makes a point of it being free to use, which is not universal. It sits in the clubhouse alongside the arcade and games room, the gym and the lounge, so there is somewhere to go on a wet afternoon without spending anything.

What size homes are at Paradise Palms Resort?

Ours run from four to six bedrooms, mostly townhomes and smaller pool homes. It is the smallest of our resorts by inventory, so availability moves quickly — filtering by your dates is the fastest way to see what is genuinely open.

Is there a gym at Paradise Palms Resort?

Yes, a fitness centre in the clubhouse with a sauna alongside it. There are also tennis, basketball and volleyball courts outdoors if you would rather be in the Florida air than on a treadmill.

Is there food at Paradise Palms Resort?

A licensed tiki bar and grill serves the pool deck, and the clubhouse has a sundry shop and deli for essentials and light food. For a proper grocery shop the nearest Publix is around two miles away, about five minutes by car.

Do the homes at Paradise Palms have private pools?

Some do and some use the resort pool complex instead — the mix here leans more towards townhomes than at our larger resorts. The counts at the top of this page are live, so they tell you exactly how many of our current Paradise Palms homes have their own pool.

Is Paradise Palms Resort gated?

Yes, and the clubhouse has a staffed reception and concierge desk. Your party's name goes on the gate list before you arrive, which we arrange when your booking is confirmed.
